The reality is buyers don’t have much money left for remodeling work after paying you the price you want at today’s 7% mortgage interest rates.    A proper pre-listing renovation will attract more buyers and very likely create the conditions for a multiple-offer situation that drives up your final selling price. In effect, your upfront renovations are priced into their mortgage.
